Tap left or right to choose a color-and-shape gate

Prism Thread is a finite 24-gate reflex run. Each seeded fork always offers a safe route, while switching away from the familiar color pays a risk bonus. Color-linked shapes keep every decision readable without relying on hue alone.

How to play

Rules

Pass up to 24 forks by choosing a lane compatible with your current color and shape. A wrong lane ends the run; every run ends within 90 seconds.

Controls

Tap the left or right half, use the two buttons, or press Left/Right.

Tips

A safe lane whose displayed color differs from your current color earns a switch-risk bonus. Orbs set the color used at the next fork.

Behind the game

Prism Thread is a twenty-four-gate run built from one clear question: which side can your current colour safely enter? Left and right are the only inputs, but each fork has colour-linked shapes so the answer remains readable even when hue is not the quickest cue. A wrong lane ends the run, while a compatible lane carries the thread forward. Gates arrive on a timer and accelerate across the run, so the game rewards looking at the fork before the choice window closes rather than repeatedly reacting at the last instant.

Safe does not always mean identical. A compatible lane whose displayed colour differs from your current colour awards a switch-risk bonus, on top of the streak score that grows with every passed gate. This creates a satisfying scoring choice. Staying with a familiar colour can make the next decision easier, but taking a safe colour change pays more and may alter the route you must read next. Orbs add another layer: collecting one sets the colour used at the following fork. They are not decoration; they let a successful choice reshape the condition for the next one. A high score comes from recognizing when a colour switch is truly safe, not from selecting a side because it happens to look valuable.

The gates are seeded, with changing lane colours, orb placement, and movement speed, yet every fork includes a route compatible with the current state. That promise lets the game be demanding without becoming a guess. The prism theme turns the run into a thread through changing facets: colours and shapes are signals woven into the path, not a memorization test. A complete route is only twenty-four decisions and always finishes within ninety seconds, which makes restarting useful. On the next seed, read the first gate, notice the shapes, preserve the streak, and spend a safe switch when it creates a score line you can still follow.
